6 Fundamental Tips From Successful Dental Students
Be Genuine.
When reading statements, admissions tutors will be looking for those individuals who demonstrate a genuine reason why they have chosen to study Dentistry. It is therefore crucial to thoroughly understand why this is the career for you.
Avoid Cliches.
Quotations and cliches often detract from genuine authenticity. Although you maybe tempted to end on a quote, we advise against this.
Be personal.
Although you wish to maintain a professional tone to your statement, try not to forget to allow your personality to shine through. Being personal with the reasons for your choice and career decision will convey your emotions and strengthen your rationale.
Be Bold.
This is your chance to demonstrate why you are the most suitable applicant. As such, don’t be bashful when discussing your achievements, accolades or most proud moments.
Structure.
Having a well formulated statement structure will allow you to coherently discuss your reasons for career choice and give an optimal flow to your statement. We recommend ensuring your statement includes an introduction, main body and conclusion.
Check For Mistakes.
In the same way the statement can favour you, it can also work against you if errors are not excluded. Like the saying goes measure twice, cut once. You must ensure you get your statement read by multiple individuals. That’s where our service helps!
